WASHINGTON — According to a story that was released on Monday, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley has requested security from the Secret Service after it was reported that she received an increasing number of threats during her campaign for the presidency in 2024.
When Haley was running in South Carolina, she disclosed to The Wall Street Journal that she had made the request of the organization.
She stated, "We've had a number of different problems." It is not going to prevent me from carrying out the tasks that I have to complete.
After receiving requests for comment, neither Haley's campaign nor the Secret Service responded to the inquiries.
There is protection provided by the Secret Service for both former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden. It is the responsibility of the Secret Service to provide protection to the President and Vice President, as well as their families and some high-ranking individuals in the government.
The ability to give safety to major party presidential candidates was granted to it following the killing of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968. Additionally, it is permitted to provide protection to national candidates.
Among the candidates running for the Republican nomination, Haley is the final big rival to Trump. Despite the fact that she is traversing the country to attend fundraisers and is slated to speak at a rally in California
