According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, the University of Washington is reportedly
moving forward with the hiring of Steve Belichick to fill the position of defensive coordinator.
At the age of 36, Belichick has been working for his father, Bill Belichick, for the past twelve years as a member of the Patriots' coaching staff
After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Belichick and the Patriots agreed to split ways.
Jedd Fisch, who is now the head coach at the University of Washington, was the quarterbacks coach for the Patriots in the year 2020.
In his stint with the Patriots, Belichick served as a defensive assistant from 2012 to 2015, then as a safeties coach from 2016 to 2018
then as a secondary/safeties coach from 2019 to 2023, and finally as an outside linebackers coach from 2020 to 2023.
Between the years 2016 and 23 his brother, Brian, was employed with the Patriots.
